Class Dress Code & Shoe Requirement

Your child will be required to have dance shoes and proper attire by the end of September. Shoes and dance attire can be purchased in our Z Dance Store while supplies last.

Please put your child’s name inside their dance shoes. Also do not wear your dance shoes outside. In addition, all female students are advised to wear leg warmers to keep their muscles warm, therefore, allowing their legs to be more flexible. TIGHTS MUST BE WORN. Finally, ZDC is adamant about all female students wearing their HAIR UP IN ALL CLASSES AT ALL TIMES. Finally, please make sure students carry their dance shoes in a dance bag. This is to ensure all your child’s belongings stay kept together.

Female Lyrical & Tap/Jazz all ages:

A leotard, sports bra and/or booty shorts are acceptable. Tights must be worn (footed, stir-up, convertible tights in any color) Optional booty shorts, dance pants or Capri pants may be worn over the leotard only.

Female Hip Hop for all ages:

All the following are acceptable: Leotards, dance pants/Capri, dance shorts, dance tank tops. Tights or socks must be worn with shoes. If a leotard or shorts are worn Tights must be on the legs. ABSOLUTELY NO PAJAMA BOTTOMS.

Female Ballet/Pointe all ages:

A leotard and tights MUST be worn. Skirts are encouraged. Absolutely No shorts unless you wear them under your skirt. No tank tops, no t-shirts, no pants/Capri. Leg warmers, Weights (age 7 and older) and Elast-a-bands (age 7 and older, we have them for $2.00 for your convenience) are required.

Female Acrobatics all ages:

Leotard and tights MUST be worn, dance shorts are optional. Absolutely no t-shirts, no tank tops, no pants/Capri.

Male Dancers & Acrobat Students all ages::

Sweat Pants, Gym shorts, or Capri pants that you can move freely in and fitted t-shirts or tank tops ONLY. ABSOLUTELY NO JEAN/KHAKI OR PJ BOTTOMS.
